My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The Wood Wife, based on / inspired by the work of Brian Froud, started slow. It took effort on my behalf to keep reading past the first chapter or so, but the effort certainly paid off.
Rich with poetry, mythology and imagery of the Arizona desert, the Wood Wife presents the reader with mysteries, both a murder mystery and some of the more mystic, hero’s journey-ish variety. All in all, The Wood Wife was a good book and definitely worth my time.
