Christmas Knitting – Moving Right Along

I know I still owe you guys a write-up about our awesome day at the Met and going to see Broadway. And I know that I have written next to nothing about the school semester which is now in full swing (so much so that I have a test in less than a week) but I have just not gotten around to writing up a post. Sorry about that. I will try to write something up soon.

What I have managed to do is finish some more of the Christmas knitting. I have been working on making these cute little sleepy baby dolls for my youngest niece, Julianna and her cousin, Sarah. I had to go through a lot of trial and error to get this doll right (the first attempt looked like a zombie – very creepy) but I finally managed to make a doll that I wouldn’t mind giving my niece.

As of right now, we are planning on getting a cute little doll cradle and a baby doll bottle and put together a little set. I will probably end up making a pillow and blanket so Julianna can tuck her baby in to sleep but I am waiting on that until we find the cradle so I can make sure it is the right size.

In the meanwhile, I am working on Sarah’s doll (which I am planning on making in shades of purple) and I threw together two little hats to give to both girls.

It is insanely early to have this many Christmas gifts done but with school and everything going on in my life, I think that having as much done as early as possible can only help.

About Ciarrai

Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher. In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.
