A Milestone….

I would like to thank everyone at SEYS for making me and Ciarrai Studios so welcomed today. After much planning (and a fair amount of anxiety) I spent the afternoon holding the first (of what will hopefully be many) Ciarrai Studios trunk show.

Here is my set-up:
Ciarrai Studios Layout

It wasn’t all that big or elaborate but I think it was a good, manageable start for me.

Everything looked pretty spiffy on display and I was pleased with how I had everything laid out and organized.

I was really nervous because I had never sold anything that I had made before today and no one, other than my family and friends had ever been exposed to my work. Well, after today I can no longer say that.  I made my first sale today and then a few more besides. Plus a lot of people came by to look, take my card and sign up for my mailing list so hopefully this will help drive some business when it is time for our big grand opening.

Now all I have to do is get the etsy store up and ready. It’s going to be a lot of work but after today, I am really encouraged.

About Ciarrai

Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher. In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.
