Look What I Made: Mina Harker Necklace

UPDATE: The Mina Harker Necklace is now available at the Ciarrai Studios Etsy shop.

Inspired by Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the Mina Harker Necklace is elegant, dramatic and stunning (if I do say so myself).

When I came across the lace applique bat, I was so inspired and the first thing I thought about was Dracula, the definitive Vampire story (although I also had Drucilla – a vampire character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer – in the mix too). I’ve seen so many beautiful lace applique necklaces on Etsy lately but this seemed like a cool twist on the style and very appropriate considering how Halloween is coming up soon. I paired the applique with black Swarovski crystal and an antique silver chain to give it a little extra Gothic style.

Mina hasn’t been added to the store quite yet but I will post an update when she is.

About Ciarrai

Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher. In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.
