Look What I Made: Aslan The Great Lion – Handmade Narnia Pendant

One of my favorite things to make, something that has become rather a specialty of mine, is jewelry based on or inspired by books and literature. I get a lot of satisfaction creating handmade jewelry that celebrates my favorite stories and characters and this piece is certainly no exception. May I introduce the Aslan – The Great Lion Pendant, inspired by C. S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, the most famous book in his beloved Narnia series.

Aslan Pendant
The pendant features a picture of Aslan, The Great Lion over a background of text from the book (the scene where Peter, Susan, and Lucy first learn about Aslan) and I am so pleased with how it came out, especially since the one I made sold the day after I posted it on my store. But don’t worry, I will be sure to make more of this pendant and I have a couple of other Narnia designs in mind.

About Ciarrai

Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs. I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher. In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.
