Welcome to Celtic Knits!
Hi. My name is Kerry but here online I tend to go by the Gaelic version of my name, Ciarrai. I am a woman in my mid-30's who lives on Long Island, NY, with my husband, Rob, several guitars, a Nikon D40, more yarn, beads and books than I care to admit to and a cat who has a million nicknames and quite a few theme songs.
I have a B.A. in Psychology and have recently returned to college to pursue a teaching degree so that I can eventually get a job as a High School English teacher.
I am also the designer / craftsperson behind Ciarrai Studios, (http:www.etsy.com/shop/ciarraistudios), your source for handcrafted jewelry, knitted accessories and more!
In addition to my major obsessions (Reading, Beading, Knitting, Music and Photography), I also enjoy playing Board Games, going to Renaissance Faires, Museums and Broadway Musicals.

Someone on the block is having a party and is blasting their music pretty loud. I’d be annoyed if it weren’t for the fact that the DJ is excellent so I am grooving around my living room instead!

When I was trying to pick a good song to post for Mother’s Day, I really couldn’t decide between a couple of songs. I narrowed it down to three, Rebecca Lynn by Bryan White and two Kenny Loggins songs. So … Continue reading
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommies out there! In honor of the day, I thought I would share this sweet little love song, Rebecca Lynn by Bryan White. I couldn’t find a decent video of Bryan White singing it but I … Continue reading
In honor of finals week, I give you: Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie
There were some really fun moments at Rob’s Rock Band party. (I particularly enjoyed the conversation Rob and I had when we were getting dressed for the party about which of his t-shirts – which almost all feature comic book characters … Continue reading
We had Rob’s Rock Band party last night. It was lots of fun but also lots of work. Coming on top of the fact that I am still getting over being sick and I have had (and will continue to … Continue reading
I am in the process of planning a Rock Band themed birthday party for my hubby, Rob. He loves the game (particularly playing the drums) and we have spent many fun nights rocking out with friends and family so I … Continue reading
